Call for Papers: Washington and Lee Law School and ASIL Southeast Interest Group Host International Law Workshop for Junior Scholars

The American Society of International Law, the ASIL-Southeast Interest Group and Washington and Lee School of Law invite submissions for the second ASIL-Southeast Junior Scholar Workshop hosted by Washington and Lee School of Law on May 13, 2019.

Format: ASIL-SE will invite 6-7 junior scholars to share works-in-progress at the workshop.  We will pair each junior scholar with one or more senior scholars who will provide feedback on the paper.

Eligibility: This call for papers is open to untenured law professors, visiting assistant professors of law, and law fellows. Applicants must live or work in the Southeastern U.S, broadly conceived.  Submissions on any topic/area of international law are welcome.

Application: Please send an abstract (750 words max) of the paper to Kish Parella (parellak@wlu.edu) and Allegra Steck (ssteck@wlu.edu) by January 7, 2019, along with a C.V.  Please include the following in the subject line of your email submission: “Submission for ASIL SE Junior Scholar Workshop.” We will notify selected authors by February 15, 2019. Selected authors must submit their completed paper for distribution by April 1, 2019.

Additional Information: Washington and Lee School of Law will provide hotel accommodations and meals for all workshop participants. All other travel expenses remain with the author.
