Professor Chris Seaman presented a new work-in-progress entitled “Noncompete Agreements and Other Post-Employment Restraints on Competition: Empirical Evidence from Trade Secret Litigation,” at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, VA, on April 12, 2019.  Professor Seaman’s presentation was part of the Roundtable on Empirical Methods in Intellectual Property, which is intended to give scholars engaging in empirical and experimental studies in IP a chance to receive early-stage feedback on research projects that are still in their developmental stages.  Professor Matt Marx of Boston University Questrom School of Business, a leading expert on noncompete agreements, was the assigned commenter for Professor Seaman’s project.  The Roundtable on Empirical Methods in Intellectual Property is co-hosted by Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Cardozo Law School.
